I'm a bassist and i know how the instrument is played. Just because I think that basses over 6 strings are a bit overkill doesn't mean that i am a "dick" and I don't know that there is a difference in sound between the two instruments.I think that you can do almost anything you need to with a 4 string. So, yet again, there's no reason to verbally attack me behind the veil of anonymity of the internet.

@CircusEnvy23 I think 7 string bass is tuned even higher, B E A D G C F, but F# can be too - I wonder this guy uses F#. Anyway, My 5 string is tuned to F# B F# B E and the low F# is .175.
