actually its not lame i would love to see some of you noobs surfing or windsurfing anything like this , the sail gives great stability when surfing a jaws wave meaning that you can lean into the wind thats rushing up the face of the wave creating the updraft necessary to surf faster
Yeah, not the biggest Jaws ever. I remember the first photos in Wind mag of Josh and Mark Angulo, Dave Kalama and a few others windsurfing huge monsters. It was easily three times higher, total madness but fantastic photo shots.It was back in 1993 I believe.
@etlamphil Yeh it is Lame, considering that Jaws waves were first surfed by windsurfers before surfers because they "DONT" need to be towed into the big waves ? so i agree with Maikul
i don't get it... what's the point??? just get a surfboard and get towed without the sail. The entire point of windsurfing a big wave is that there is no need for a tow....
balls....he has them. damn

@SurfyAdrenalinJunkie
very lame indeed. compared to the thousands of other 30ft waves i've surfed this one looks just soo boring :-)

I don't think I saw his sail actually fully inflate at all, totally pointless, at least take the sail off.

He probably just waiting for the wind to come up and thought "hey I should try to tow it."
Water starting with a sail had to be very difficult!
