lol look at the masive rod! you arent supposed to go waling in the us. xD
-
yea, that's what I meant. Right handed should hold rod/paintbrush/umbrella with right hand and do the secondary tasks like winding, holding palette etc with the left hand. Not only is it stronger when you need it, it is also better for control for working the lure when you are luring.
-
sorry again, but the strong arm (mostly peoples right arm-even in left handed people!!)
should be doing the heavy work ("pumping" in the fish), while the left hand winds in-just like with fixed-spool reel as I REPEAT, 95% of fishermen use
I cannot put it any clearer
-
ok, but why do 95% of fixed-spool reel users,
prefer left-hand wind?-as it has always been
then comes right hand American multiplier, and it all changes.
for no logical reason or improvement
sorry-its a con
-
It felt unnatural because you have got used to holding the reel+rod in your left hand. If you had carried umbrellas/paintbrushes with your left hand all the time since you ever had one, it will feel unnatural to hold it in your right hand too, even if you are right handed.
-
yeah, but when youre playin a heavy fish, you should have youre stronger arm (most people's right) "pumping" the fish, and the left hand doing the lighter work of winding in.
This is the whole theory of why 95% of fishermen
use LEFT-HAND fixed spools.
Right hand wind multipliers are an American con, which has been goin on for over 40 years now
I call them "LAUREL and HARDY" design!
-sorry
-
the idea is to wind in with your strong hand and use your weak hand to hold the rod. I am right handed and cannot use a left handed multiplier as it just feels unnatural. that is not a fixed spool style cast as most tournament casters use multipliers, so if anything its a multiplier cast.
-
why not use a left hand retrieve multiplier, then you would not have to change hands after casting?
-to wind in I mean
-
what are you on about?
-
this guy casted with fixed-spool type cast, but using multiplier, but did not show reel, or if he was having to change hands after cast -to ridiculous American right-hand retrieve the biggest ongoing CON in the fishing tackle world for over 50 years PENN-you keep your heads firmly up your a............... never ONE left hand retrieve multi? you giving thousands of people heart attacks, gettin them to pump with weak arm, and wind in with strong arm LOL!
hey im a left hander caster, im casting the opposite way, do show me some video so i can learn it correctly... thanx

You should be able to apply the same techniques to a left handed cast. Check out the groundcasting fundamentals video.
