  • I actually agree with this, and I'm a Christian. I don't belive being gay/ lesbian is right, but why should we ban them from something? That's ridiculous. What's it going to accomplish? It's not going to bring them closer to God, it's just going to make them mad.

  • Wow you're hot ;)

  • i agree with 1uhot4 it they want to fight they should be able to

  • i say who give a fuck if a homosexual is in the military. If they are willing to get a weapon strapped to their back and fight for there country then more power to them. Shit, lots of straight men won't even do that shit!

  • While I agree, I would like to point out that a lot of the gay people that I know are VERY forward with their homosexuality, and often will go out of their way to hit on people they know are straight to bother them and shake things up. It's not every gay person, but it is a disturbingly large fraction.

  • BTW, I try to never look at a person sexually aboard ship. It is a professional environment mixed with family feelings. A very close-knit group. When you have 3 minutes to shower aboard ship and cold water...the last thing you think of is... Most sailors are too tired and wanna hit theirs racks for sleep. We ARE WORKING while at sea. The shifts are long and sometimes difficult. It is a WORK environment. We try to save our fun for off-base. Away from comrades.

  • I was gay in the military in the 90's. I think the military is a snapshot of the US. People accepted me just fine. The rumor was around but most simply did not care. The ones close to me accepted me. I was a good enough person around non-gays that it didn't matter. They respected the fact that I did not push my gay-ness. My rank (E5) held it's position. I had no problem in 7 years. I wish I was still there. The gay issue comes up on a case-by-case basis, just like in the civilian world.

  • Well said, Steve.

I personally will never serve in the military as long as it is necessary to be closeted for fear of being discharged. Not that I would go running around, telling everyone among the troops my true sexuality, but I shouldn't be forced to hide it, either.

  • fuck you

  • i think being gay is not wrong but i do think you should band that form serving in the war! i am bi myself and i dont think they should make gays serve in the war because its not fair that we dont have any rights as is. Why fight for our country when we have no damn rights?!

  • ANY lifestyle? So if I was a pedophile you'd have no problem with it?
