You are making such a big deal out of nothing. you have footage of nobody on the train and you want park and rides? i say screw you and anyone else who wants a park and ride. this is no big issue. dont make issues.
Uhhh...That was the NASSAU overpass location NOT Atlantic. Plenty of street parking at Nassau AND Atlantic BTW. Further along is where the problems are. Pleasant Plains, Prince's Bay, etc. The further north you go, the farther you have to park although Grant City and Jefferson Ave stations aren't too bad.
When I lived there in the 60's and early 70's there was crap everywhere. But then again it was common for people to throw their garbage out the windows or their cars.I haven't been back in over 25 years,I'm sure it's alot cleaner now,it has to be.I can't stress enough how much garbage was on the tracks and roads then.I need to come back and ride the rails with my daughter and wife and tell them my life stories
I have ridden staten island Rapid Transit Twice. Its ok. Too Bad they got rid of the other two Branch lines . that would have been something if they kept the other two Branch Lines
This was the Baltimore and Ohio Railroad's Staten Island Rapid Transit. It tryed to do business while the highway lobby was derailing the country. They lost. Enter NYCTA that I'm sure is hated by the same highway lobby. They want you in your car and to stay there. (Better to sell the $5 gas that's coming. There was never any planning when SI was fields with no dreams. The only planning was for roads. They had the money. Still do. Park and ride is a great idea.

bs!!
you want a park-n-ride at a stop [atlantic] where only the last car opens!?
The east side rail line (unfortunately, the only one) is awesome.
I only wish they hadn't changed the orange and red seats!
