  • Thank you! Yes, you will need to feed it from time to time or you can take and put it into flour and let it dry out. Then just rehydrate it when needed.

  • Yes, I made the starter! wild is some times better but unpredictable.

  • Neobrewer go to our website

Here is the link for soap pioneerliving net/soapmaking.htm

  • I was referring to the # 12 (12' inch) Dutch Oven

  • That bread looks good. I've read if you want to prevent the bottom from burning you can put the dough into a pan and space it from the bottom with pebbles, which distribute the heat evenly. Surprising how simple the process is.

  • Pebbles? Never heard of that but thanks. Like I said in the Vid just take one coal off the bottom to lower the heat and it would keep the bottom from burning.

  • @PioneerLivingnet I've had some pretty good results from wild starter, myself. I jumped over to your website and am very impressed! You've got some very valuable information there. Never thought to use banana peals for lye! Good way to lessen waist! Thanks so much. :D

  • Did you make wild starter or did you make it from yeast?

  • Excellent how to video. Very detailed. I've made bread twice in my dutch oven with good results. A damper bread and a sweet bread. I would really love to try your sourdough bread. I've got a question, In the 1st video you put a cup of starter in a crock. Could you please tell us the recipe of how to take the cup of starter to make this bread again. And do you need to feed this starter?? If so, how much, etc... Thanks again. Great Job!

  • thanks for the vid mate
