Police Attend Rubbish Bin Fire, K' Road, 3 Oct 09

NZ Police are first on the scene of a smoking rubbish bin on K' Road. I think they were liaising with security at the adjacent club to find something to put it out with. Not sure if all cop cars are equipped with extinguishers, but dry powder isn't the best for these kinds of fires anyway. I was hoping for the fireys to come around the corner from the station, but my bus arrived, so I missed the result!

@ilovetool1 Most irresponsible smokers flick their lit fag ends on the street or footpath, but you get the occasional one who drops one in a rubbish bin. Probably the same tossers who vandalise bus shelters.
