Tommy Byrne from Dundalk, relives his controversial career in motorsport with Mark Hughes in his autobiography entitled 'Crashed and Byrned'. Now living in the United States, during the peak of his career Tommy was considered the best around and was the only driver Ayrton Senna ever feared. The book details where it all went wrong when he was so close to the top of world motorsport.

  • he taught me defensive driving today

  • Great book

  • I had the pleasure of receiving instruction and working along side Tommy at Mid Ohio Sports Car Course. My take is that Tommy is a funny guy, who still has it, along with a great story. While I have only met one of his boys, I can tell you his son adores him so he must be doing something right.

I can't wait to read this book (ISBN: 1906850054) once it comes out on Amazon. Good on you, Tommy Byrne!

  • Tommy Byrne was faster than Senna in junior formula in england, Senna always made sure he never lined up with Byrne in the same race, he knew Byrne had much more raw talent than him.LEGEND!!

  • Just finished the book. Great read. Nice to put a face to the man of a million stories!

  • Saw him race a few times, in cars that sometimes looked unfinished. He was in a different league, no-one stood a chance!

  • Here here. Great book. I have no interest in motor racing and thought the book was fantastic, which is as high a compliment as I can pay. Well done Tommy & Mark.

  • CHEATING SOFTWARE !!!!!
