AlchemySnap - OCR Camera Search Application for the TMobile G1 Device.

What It Does: You're reading a magazine or newspaper and want to "learn more".

1. Photograph the text you're interested in with your G1 camera.

2. AlchemySnap analyzes the photo, extracting text from the image, then pulling concepts, keywords, and search tags from the text.

3. Identifies tags, company names, persons, and other topic keywords are presented on the phone as a browsable list.

4. You can then retrieve Twitter, Google, and Wikipedia results related to the print material you photographed.

Note: AlchemySnap can also be utilized to photograph computer screens.

Is there going to be a version of this that works on the HTC hero? I tried to get it to work but it shut down.
