  • I was so pissed when they didnt include this version on the DVD set. There were two scenes shot specifically for the TV version and also some extra and alternate dialogue. Considering that the DVD set had no extras at all. Its the least they could do.

They guy who put the DVD together is probably 25 and doesnt know the difference.

Should have given us both versions, or sell the Theatrical cut separately like they did with Batllestar Galactica.

  • i thought the same thing.

  • this was not a deleted scene from the movie. It was added to make into the tv movie pilot version. though the dvd box set of the series did not include that additions and the original movie in the box set was not in letterbox. what bumber. now Battlestar had deleted scenes which ended up in the pilot movie.

  • Two other memorable scenes from the pilot were also omitted from the DVD because they weren't in the movie... the scene where Buck is shown around his apartment and how to use his voice-activated bed, and the scene where he watches narrated footage of how his former civilization on Earth was destroyed. This needs to be remedied at some point.

  • @wkndsquire :D yes, no too much sexy with this hairstyle

  • @gmansi Thankfully, she never wore it that way again.

  • @wkndsquire Good, great info, thanks. Also I cant remember Erin Gray with this hairstyle on the serie.

  • @gmansi Yes. It was added to the end of the movie as a sort of segue into the series. If you look closely, you can notice a vast difference in Gil Gerard's appearance in the movie and in this scene. Even back then, I found it odd that they'd make it a series so quickly after it had closed in the theaters. Guess they wanted to jump on the Star Wars-induced spaceage bandwagon as soon as possible.

  • @wkndsquire "This is from the first season of the television series of Buck Rogers." Wich episode? The first one?

  • If this comes out on Blu Ray (I hope!) maybe they will put this in as an extra.

  • Its possible it is not shown on the DVD box set series or somethinglike that, BUT I know I have seen it before I remember Buck drawing the silly face on the big computer and making fun of the lamp shade/salad Bowl thing . Ialso especially remember Buck saying to them "Deep down you really like this place dont you?" and the both of them saying together... "No"
