@333Cessnaman I saw Mountain in concert in Passaic NJ, and the concert was great. It was at the old Montauk Theater. Don't remember the year--could it have been 1972?

@KrisKeystoneWest didn't consider himself a Rocker he defined himself as a balladeer.

With all due respect only people in the post metal era would call Mountain a Metal Band...the were an influence on some metal bands to be sure but like Cream they were a Blues-rock band

@333Cessnaman Agog is the only word that comes to mind! I hope you didn't let her get away. If you got high and missed it, more's your loss!

Fine rendition by Mountain of Jack Bruce / Pete Brown tribute to the Wild West AND the British Blues movement of the early sixties. This songs about not taling the easy way out, and coming out stronger for it..

@rabranch32 No they don't! You omitted to mention the brilliant keyboard playing of Steve Knight... An integral member of the band.

Man, they sure don't make music like this anymore. Grateful I grew up in such a time for creativity and great musicianship.

I was 16 when this album came out and it blew me away. led zeppelin2 and this album formed a great one two punch. later that summer I seen mountian at the cincinatti pop festival.a 3 day indulgence of music and herbal recreations.made it down to the stage for iggy and the stooges, bob seger system, and at dark mountian! leslie west worked his guitar over.everyone in those days knew he was great, common knowlage.successive generations failed to pick up on it and missed giving him his due.
