"Life, then, becomes a practice of shaping one's consciousness for a graceful exit." This is very hard to do in a hospital. Most people don't want to die there, but in America, most do. This is because of the materialistic viewpoint with its attendant fear of death. The Eastern views are refreshing, and natural.
