but that doesn't mean it sucks. yes it doesn't sound like a Gibson, since it's an Epiphone. Does your gibson have a ceramic adjustable bridge and is it ladder braced? If it does, I agree with you. If not (and it is X-braced with a normal bridge), this Epi sounds closer to the Beatles' J-160e.
