Yep, Quinn and everybody are dubbed -- like in most of Fellini's movies. It was both an economical technique (live sync recording for film is both costly and time-consuming), it also had a kind of artificial effect that Fellini liked. Not to mention, since his films were usually released in both English and Italian versions, the dubbing studio was already reserved, so may as well use it all the way, eh? :)
Creative simplicity.

@nimthirielhime That does not sound like his voice, and indeed does sound dubbed, but I'm no expert!

As long as human beings conserve their mind and their heart !
"La Strada" and the brilliant performances of Quinn and Masina now belong to the ages. This film is a great work of art that will live as long as human beings inhabit the earth.
