Mayfest Concert in North Myrtle Beach, SC May 10, 2008. "The Legends of Surf Music" backed by "The Surf City Allstars". Shot with Kodak EasyShare Z812IS "still shot" camera.
Terrible sound but pretty good picture if you watch it in the 720p high defintion mode. Sounds best with the sound down real low.

The concert was a part of the annual "Mayfest on Main" festival. The band was "The Legends of Surf Music" comprised of Al Jardine (one of the original "The Beach Boys"), David Marks (another original member of "The Beach Boys"), and Dean Torrence of "Jan and Dean".

They were backed by "The Surf City Allstars". The Surf City Allstars are: David Logeman (Jan & Dean, Frank Zappa, The Beach Boys), Don Raymond (The Ventures, Jan & Dean), Matt Jardine (Beach Boys, Wilson/Philips, Jan & Dean), Gary Griffin (Beach Boys, Brian Wilson), and Philip Bardowell (Beach Boys).

  • my ears are bleeding

  • @dylanloughnan Sorry. It was the first time recording video with that camera and I didn't have the volume adjusted correctly.

  • looks like they're playin' at some convalescent home---

  • Not yet, but they ARE getting old as well as the fans that grew up with their music.

  • Still lovin' Philip's guitar playing... And if you turn it low, it's like "drive-in movie" music, when you used to tune in movies and interim music on those scratchy speakers...

  • @Gioia27 "And if you turn it low, it's like "drive-in movie" music..."

Yes ! You are right ! I remember that at the drive-in movies.
