Ahoy, Enjoying some Pusser's rum on a Sunday morning aboard "Chantey". Thought I would practice on the mandolin for a bit. Those "New York Girls" many versions of this song I learned this version from my old buddy and Shantey man Cliff Haslam, we sang together as the Jovial Crew at the Griswold Inn in Essex Ct for quite awhile . He is still there every Monday night with the Jovial crew. When ever I'm in town I show up and sing a few songs with Cliff and the guys. I sure do miss it.
Cheers. Paul Elliott aka "Chantey"
