You are so beautiful .I'm 5 months out from a Retrosigmoid Approach & I'm doing pretty well.I lost all hearing on the left side, the vertigo/dizziness is pretty horrible but the worst part lately is the excruciating neck/head pain.I know that many people are in much worse situations & that helps to put everything into perspective.I myself thank the skill of my surgeons rather than some god(s) but whatever works for you.

@carolchristensen7 Thanksk Carol. The solution hopefully is neurosurgery to decompress that nerve. Some people get complete recovery from that, some get quite a bit of relief, and some get no relief. But the longer I leave it, the less relief is possible. I just hope that the surgeon goes for it. I'm concerned about the pains that you've been having lately. I've been wondering what might cause that. Maybe it's just a resldual irritation of some of the tissue?

I would gladly have neurosurgery if I thought that the surgeon could fix this screaming in my ear, and stop this compression of my nerve, even though I don't relish the though of neurosurgery. But it could cure me, maybe.

Hi Carol !! :) great to hear your update again !! :) good to hear that you are doing good... I still have numbness on my face.. but I 've been regularly going to accupuncture treatment.. twice a day .. :).. recently I felt I am out of balance when i get up from my seat at work.. i think i've used my brain and eyes too much at work.. and it's affecting my balancing.. but apart from that I am doing great too ! :) Please keep giving us an update ..... much love from Sydney :) xoxoxo
very glad to hear that that darn tumor is gone. It seems that I don't have one, but I have what is called a microvascular compression that makes the vessel squish the acoustic nerve.

@soho2014 It must be such a relief to finally know what is causing the noise and that it is not a tumor~I know you were concerned about that! I am sorry to hear about the compression and do hope that you find a solution as I know what it is like to live with the loud noise in your ear. Much love to you!
