This is a short video taken from the cockpit of a Boeing 757 at London's Heathrow airport. In those pre 9/11 days it was still possible to visit the cockpit! If you look very carefully (and you know your way around Heathrow airport) you will notice that I have mixed shots from several flights and that we are approaching the airport from two different directions!

  • Correct. I do say clearly in the description that this video is a composite from several flights. I know it is cheating but I think it makes for a more interesting video. Thanks for viewing.

  • Excellent detective work Apugueiro. The video is indeed indeed a composite from several flights. You could have saved yourself some work by reading the description :-) Thanks for watching anyway.

  • The ATC is so hard to understand. Does it sound like that with the headset on too?

  • @Bango61 - I have a confession to make.... The ATC noises were not recorded during the flight. I recorded the sounds from an air band scanner in Stuttgart and used them to 'add atmosphere' to the video.

  • What Airline is it?

    Great video

  • @britanniaairlines12 The cockpit video was from a British Airways flight. The shots from the cabin window were from a different flight but I think it was also BA. Can't remember for sure.

  • God damnit bin Laden....

because of his ass we can't do fun things on an airplane anymore.

  • Conflicting video. Cockpit video shows landing on 9L yet side shot shows landing on 27R. ATC also sounds suspect for LHR.
