I've been wanting to record a full 999,999 points counter stop video for a while now, but whenever I start recording, I get nervous and play really badly. So for now, this video will have to do; besides, I've not uploaded anything for a while now.

  • love this game :D great run Edo. you really got settled in and made level 15 look easy.

i was wondering, are you using more than 1 rotation button? it's hard to tell. if i'm not mistaken, the original game only had a stick and one button for CCW rotation. in my Sega Ages (PS2) maxout run i was using 2 CCW buttons. i think my best with 1 button was around 600k. i'm just curious about what kind of layout you're using, and if you can confirm the layout for the original game.

The System-16 version does actually support 3 CCW buttons, and that's the setup I'm using in this video. There's a technique that involves repeatedly hammering all buttons in sequence (like a spanish guitar tremolo - amiamiami, etc) in order to ensure I pieces are placed vertically at the walls for a tetris at high speed, and I've been told that for this purpose, some arcades even provided a 4th button, linked up to a hardware autofire circuit to prolong button life.

  • 哇!跟王心凌的心電心一樣快

  • You're a master.

  • @EDOxTGM ah, thanks for the info. i guess i thought there was only supposed to be one rotation button because in the game demo only one button is used :P

thanks for the I piece tip, i'll have to try it. i found 2 buttons was generally enough for quick 180's of J and L pieces for example, so they could slide easily across the top of the stack.

looking forward to seeing a maxout video from you in the future.

  • Holy shit, nice recovery.
