here i am (Just When I Thought I Was Over You) by air supply

"Here I Am" is the title of a popular song from 1981 (see 1981 in music) by the Australian group Air Supply. It was written by Norman Sallitt and included on the group's album The One That You Love.

To prevent confusion, the song was originally released as "Here I Am (Just When I Thought I Was Over You)" so as not to be confused by the group's #1 hit song "The One That You Love" which contains the lyrics: "Here I am, the one that you love."

Released as a single in the fall of 1981, "Here I Am" peaked at #5 on the Billboard Hot 100 chart in November of that year, remaining in the Top 40 for 15 weeks.[1] The song also spent three weeks atop the Billboard adult contemporary chart.[2]

Lead vocals on "Here I Am" were performed by the two vocalists in the group, Graham Russell and Russell Hitchcock.

@mistylatteable this is what happaned to me. he was my world , made my dreams come true in 1997. we lost touch for over 10 years, i went thru hell and back, 3 times in those years, he came crashing into my world with a ,miracle of love in may of 2010, my dreams , prayers all answered. but then in january of 2011 he left me. he is gone from my life now, but it make no sense. he was my miracle. i cant get over him. i kno somehow he has to come back to me in the future i pray it is true

I had the privilege of seeing them in concert here in Trinidad in 2006...They were my late mom's fave band and at least she got to see them Live....I remember when they started to play this song and during the last verse and Russel Hitchcock paused and to his amazement, we carried on the song singing the correct words and he started to cry...The man could not believe that the thousands of Trinidadians knew his song...Touching moment..Unforgettable
