as much respect i have for the lion voltron and the vehicle voltron. I like the lion for the fantasy. And I like the vehicle for the science fiction. It's like saying which is better star trek or star wars. Is it great that we have this debate on which voltron is better. Oh for the record the lion hands down was better.
Damn the 80's was a great decade for cartoons was it not.

Is it me or is the vehicle team's intro cooler on this vid? I'll admit the Lion team is popular because the showed up first back then.

The lion voltron was very repetitive..always the same..the plot was very plodding and predictable. I hated the Allura character..she did not belong. The writers for the vehicle series were simply better

@Turdman12 Actually, I preferred the vehicle team because of the expanded cast. It made for a lot more story options which was actually what I liked better.

Although the Golion robot is cooler, as far as the actual series and story is concerned Dairugger beats Golion hands down. The plot in Golion is really one-dimensional and uninspired; the Galra villains have no redeeming qualities whatsoever, and watching the sheer cruelty on that show gets old really quickly. In Dairugger, the Galveston/Drule enemies are NOT evil, their planet is dying and they're fighting for what they believe is right. They can be just as courageous as their human enemies.
