Apollo 16 crew saw a very similar "ufo" which was later identified as a floodlight that was connected to the Apollo spacecraft itself.

a UFO doesnt mean its an alien craft...If a flying toilet or unknown experimental plane flew overhead, its a UFO; anything unknown

I don't think we'll ever figure out what UFOs are so I don't think people should get so up tight about it. Enjoy the mystery!! Its cool!! We have no idea what it is!

That only works in the argument of sheer possibility. I argue that it's *possible*, or rather that one cannot say that it is impossible, for there to exist a god and heaven because there are likely extra dimensions that we have no concept or clue of.

yeh, use a telescope, lets face it. If we can see other planets in other galaxies surely we can see a flag on the moon which isnt that far away... =/

Regarding the conspiracy idiots - those of us old enough to remember all of the pioneering spaceflights know that during the height of the Cold War, the Russkis were watching & monitoring every move NASA made. If we had tried to 'fake' a moonlanding, The Kremlin would have had a field day exposing us. Kruschev wanted to paint the moon red so Americans would look up and see a Red Commie Moon.
