Barbara, I question Linda's ethics. After she became wealthy did she pay back all she screwed when she declared bankruptcy? Barbara, Linda represented a show where women were degraded & debased and she shrugs it off and calls it entertainment! So that means if she made millions from porn that would be okay? Or are you one of those submissive women who enjoys being abused? You may call it business experience..I call it the lowest form of entertainment.

It's not what *I* believe. Personally, I believe they ARE employees and should be entitled to all the rights and benefits of being one. The problem is what the law allows and is part of the problem with the WWE. The law allows the WWE to call them "contractors" and not have to bear any of the tax or benefits responsibility for them - no matching Social Security/Medicare payments, no unemployment, no medical, no dental, etc. Business do it to cut costs at the expense of workers.

What about the many, many more men who were beaten to high hell in that industry? Or is it only women who matter in the long term? Men degraded themselves, heck her own husband degraded himself on live television as much if not more than a lot of people. It is entertainment, and a naturally violent one at that. If she had been the CEO of a women's football league would you say the same thing? I do admit she is dispicable when it comes to the other issues however.

How come Linda McMahon does not have one ad on You tube with a place to comment? She is too afraid of letting any one comment on the ads. Wow. Also I have gotton about a hundred of her flyers in my mail with crappy lies about Murphy. They were so annoying. Also it looks like she is suppressing that embarrassing video about the nasty business she used to be in. Why?

Lets see then... they are told where and when they have to work. they are told who wins and loses and given scripts and told what to say. Not allowed to work for anyone else or book any of their own matches. Yet, you believe they are independent and not employees. your right, you win.

No they're not. It's a standard business contract of pay for services rendered. It would be the same type of "contract" they have with their Internet provider, garbage service, phone service, etc. The only real difference in this case is that the performer is essentially a "single employee business". To the public though, the WWE presents them as if they are part of the WWE when they are really not.

Think of it as a non-compete clause. They sign a contract for x length of time and during that time, they are not allowed to perform for anyone else. After that time, there is a non-compete clause contiuing to prevent them from performing elsewhere. The term "independent contractor" simply means that the performers are NOT employees of WWE and thus not entitled to any benefits offered to regular employees.

If the wrestlers are independent contractors then wouldn't they be allowed to wrestle in TNA or ROH? So then they are not independent.
