Which newspaper? It's quite possible if the journalist didn't know that much Icelndic they wouldn't have heard "takk fyrir" but I think it's pretty clearly takk fyrir and nothing else.

Those were such amazing concerts to experience. Even though I was drunk beyond recognition, I still remember how awesome it was listening to the songs Bjork & Sigur Ros played. The best concerts I've ever experienced.

And just to clear all about what she says, being Icelandic myself, she says Takk fyrir. But that “don't sell it“ point could be a good hidden message.

Im sure she said Takk fyrir also. I hear definately an 'f' and dont hear an 's' or 'll' at all. Some one could ask her I suppose ;)
