The Gettysburg Address recited by some of the best voiceover talent in the country: David McCullough, Ken Burns, Sam Waterston, Matthew Broderick, Stephen Lang and Medal of Honor recipient Paul W. Bucha. Musical score provided by Oscar-winning composer John Williams. Video was created in opposition to a proposed casino 1/2 mile from the Gettysburg National Military Park. All celebs, crew, editors, and musicians volunteered for No Casino Gettysburg. http://www.NoCasinoGettysburg.org

  • Kudos to the filmmakers - this is an excellent production. Never mind the town or tourist shops - find the REAL Gettysburg. Go walk the battlefield, watch Ken Burns' Civil War, read The Killer Angels, or for crying out loud listen to what Lincoln said!! Gettysburg is consecrated to the men who died there. Their sacrifice is the reason we have a UNITED States today. A casino can go anywhere in that area, but should NOT be in Gettysburg.

  • Thank you for this video. I'm very much in agreement that no casino should be built at Gettysburg. Gettysburg should remain always as a place to honor the men who died there and as a place for education and reflection on our heritage. The presence of a casino at Gettysburg would detract from those purposes.

  • Never have so few words meant so much for so many

  • I have visited this honored site many times and it always seems to be alive with the ghosts of those who perished here. The last time I visited there, it was raining slightly and I stood atop Little Roundtop and I cold feel the soldiers' presence and even hear the sounds of cavalry movements. This place is Hallowed Ground as much as any of our National Cemeteries. There is no place for casinos next to this or any other such Hallowed Ground.

  • @tenfed1861 Good luck, I think gambling is still illegal in NY

  • thumbs up if the America today is alien to that of the 1860's!!

  • yayy i live near there lol

  • @sjtom57 So when you do think they should build the Casino at Ground Zero seeing as New York is just one big tourist trap...I mean, that's what you think.Fuck those who died, let's make some money.

  • @sjtom57 touche but i do think there is a line of acceptibility however vague between

touristy kitsch shops next at an historic battleground and a poker palace next

to it also and importantly a national cemetary
