I use a glass cutting board I think it's wayyyyy better than wood and plastic. With glass and plastic you get the cutting lines- but with glass you get nothing- just wipe it off, no cool/fry place necessary! And it last forever, mine was handed down from my late NaNa, Still looks as good as new to me!

In Mexico, we kinda make a fruit salad with jicama, mango and cucumber and douse them with fresh squeezed lime juice and chili powder. It is a very delicious and filling snack.

French fries are not from France. Go to Paris, they won't serve you fries unless you go to Mac Donald's to get awfull fries because it's a fast food. Fries comes from Belgium (with the beer, chocolate and waffles !), just above Franche. And they are made out of binche potatoes and fried in boiling oil (and not just any oil !)

Ridiculous. Disposable plastic boards are way bad for the environment - unless they're recyclable. Bamboo or wood boards actually take very little effort to care for. Bamboo is sustainable. The funny thing is, she is willing to put all the effort it takes to make raw food (and while this is an easy recipe, a lot of raw food is time consuming), but not sanitize a wood board?

Noooooooooooo! NEVER use water to wash the burn form peppers form you mouth! It washes off the mucous and can therefor ore make for MORE burn.
Try:
Milk (whole is best but any will help.)
A piece of bread
Vinegar - yes it is counter intuitive but the acid helps to neutralize the capsicum

No. Just every leafy green vegetables I buy I usually put in water. Don't know if it's good or bad, but I like the way it looks :)

Love the host, but why anybody would even fathom making raw "fries" is beyond me.

Haha. I've made that mix up more than once!
And I hear where you're coming from on the "it tastes okay..." kinda' thing. I'm a horrible "cook"; it's my fault my food tastes funny, but I like raw food, no matter how much it makes me want to wretch from time to time. =D

No seriously LOL I didn't want to insult Victoria Boutenko.. It was her first book probably. Now she's an expert.. But it's better if you don't try this recipe at home. :)
