Thanks for your comments.I'm going to buy a sp-404 sampler soon and mess around with it.I'll probably loop something over ambient acoustic tracks and develop from there.

The sp-404 is a great sampler to get started with, but you shouldn't "try" to make music like this, you should find your sound, it nay be similar but Noah's Person pitch is a lot of different things forced together taken in sample form, even if you aren't going to use it as a midi sample pad... you should find your own unique sound

sorry to kind of "eavesdrop" but you're so right bout this. I've been really close to buying one whereas all i wanna do is loops shit, but not have to use my laptop. any suggestions?

Can anybody tell me how to make music like this.Learning electronic music seems a up hill struggle unless you've done a course in sound engineering.

you need to save your money to buy samplers (animal collective uses SP 404 and SP 555). it just takes a lot of practice and screwing around. it's really hard to explain without being in person. it's also helpful to know how to keep time and make beats. one more thing, i bought the book "MIDI Power! 2nd Edition" and it really helped, so thats something you should look at too
