Numerology. Date published+ years ago= current year. Year born+current age=current year. 2009+2009=4018.
Took me a while, but I got it. You could do this with anybody. I was born in 1995. I was born 16 years ago. I went to the beach in 1998. I went to the beach 13 years ago. Add up the numbers, and you get 4022. (It would be 4018 if it was year 2009 when this video was published). Awesome trick.

A bit irrelevant with the point of the video but i have noticed that Ball's book "Think of a Number" has influenced you to upload many of the tricks contained in that book... btw that's a great book
