@antagonist42 it often happens with people who are buying some cheap replicas, i heard same about usmc. and you can allwaays ship it back. so . dont worry

People all saying they wont buy if it's not made in America. Not much is. Quality control WILL be in America tho so if it's not good enough then you won't get it.
-
I wouldnt care if it was made in bumbfuck Egypt. If its a nice knife its nice knife.

@antagonist42 LOL I was thinking the same thing that is why I bought a Anza knife all hand made right here in the good old USA a much nicer knife than these so called made in taiwan crap is lol
-
Yeah that what turned my off about it, made it Taiwan.that's the same thing with the SOG knives made in Japan.it can be the best dam knife ever made but if its not American keep it. I'll not buy foreign made

@RDS5284 I say that whenever someone asks me what knife I would recommend, which is not often, but still. I love Kabar.
This knife would be awesome if it wasn't made in Taiwan. :-(

@antagonist42 Don't worry, it's still awesome.

@wwwknivestowncom I've heard horror stories about how difficult the knife is to remove from the sheath, even to a point where it might pose a danger to the wielder. How has your experience been with that?
antagonist42 6 months ago
@antagonist42 I had no problem. If the sheath is that tight you might try heating it up so it is softer and then pull it apart some. When it cools it should set looser. But I have not seen this problem you are talking about.

Would you recommend this for bushcraft/ survival over the full-sized KA-BAR Tanto? I own the Tanto, but am considering purchasing the knife for the same purpose.

@shawny142 For bushcraft you wont go wrong with either, but if I had to choose I would give a narrow edge to the Bull Dozier as its blade geometry is slighly more conducive to chopping and the steel is full tang the same shape as the handle, while the tanto has a straighter blade which is less power for chopping and the tang is not the full dimension of the handle.
