Vodka is useful in that it has almost no flavor on it's own, so all it does is enhance the other ingredients.
Brandy would bring some extra flavor to the party... so that's good!

Damn it that was hot. I just made this sauce, and it´s soooooo freaking hot.
Followed your recipe exactly. The vodka really brings forth the cayenne and chili flavors.
Gonna use this in mild doses.

Why did you use white sugar in this sauce and brown sugar in the jalapeno sauce?

would this recipe work with bourbon? i realise it wont taste the same, i just hope to make both as to compare. cheers!

hey lordstepalize, this vodka sauce goes well on most any barbecue, -pork, chicken, beef.....caution, it has a kick and too much of it can get you a DUI! (: -BBQ Pit Boys
