PS3 OtherOS installation of Petitboot [GUI]

The standard way to boot Linux on a PS3 is to use the kboot bootloader which serves the purpose
But for users who look for a more attractive way with a graphical user interface there is an alternative: Petitboot.

When I load up in petitboot all i get is the disc icon on the left

and the options, install, quiet install, live, live nogui etc...

can you delete the linux bootloader with petitboot? PLEASE RESPOND I don't even have my usb thumbdrive anymore or any blank cds and want to know for sure before i buy one.

Actually no not really, I eventually got it, you have to have the right iso.

I first downloaded the one from the ubuntu site, which is wrong, then the ps3 standard iso, which is also wrong, i needed the alternate ps3 iso.

Because at the time of my last message, the install option didnt work with the standard iso, so no. not really, I don't fail.
