i need some advice, in work we have a compressor, a loud device, the nozzle fell off and the boss said he didn't have time to get another one so i continued to use it, i blasted it for a bout 2 seconds and stopped because it was way to loud, for the last 3 days since then ive had an extreme loud ringing noise in the left ear, what should i do?

If the sounds generated by the broken hairs in the cochlea are sent to your brain, why doesnt the brain just shut off its awareness to that particular sound as a means of maintaining homeostasis?

I remember what caused mine. When I was 12, my brother snuck up from behind, cupped his hands and boxed my ears. That was over 35 years ago. No, I'm not into caffeine and takes lots of potassium for other reasons. It is always there, but worse when I am tired or lacking sleep. I live with it. Just focus on the good sounds around you.

my ears have been ringing for over 2 years now and i just got use to it but when i get sick it gets louder so i just want it to go away the ear doctors never worked :/
