Pathetic how such a majority indeed ignore the message. It's not about the steering, or how good a driver you are. If you come into a situation you were not expecting, the most common thing you will do, is hit the brakes. That's when speed means everything. And in most cases, going slower would have saved lives.

It's funny (not really though) to see that every person that wrote a comment did not get the message of the video...

They could have replaced the truck with a wall of concrete, and the message would be still the same...it's not about the truck, it's not even about your fucking life...it's about the life of the people you could kill by driving fast and I doubt they would want to end like that.

Inattention on the road could give more than 3 meters. 60 kmh is 16 meters per second and 0,2sec reaction give aditional 3 meters to stop.

@mikey77771 In the US, the 85th percentile of drivers (in terms of speed) is what sets the speed limit (although the posted limit is typically 5-15mph lower than that), but its the 85th-90th percentile of drivers who have the lowest accident rate...even though they are still technically "speeding". If speed limits truly are about "safety", they wouldn't criminalize the actual safest drivers on the road.

Funny how the German Autobahn is among the safest highways in the world, even without any speed limits (for the most part). Funny how the US highway system is among the most dangerous, despite its 60-80mph speed limits. Speed doesn't make a difference, driving skill does. You can drive at 120mph and be a better/safer driver than an idiot going 35mph.

Simple solution to the problem in the video: go AROUND the trailer. It's why you have a fucking steering wheel in front of you.
