Try to mute the other strings with your hand... This makes the string you play sound cleaner without "overloading" the amp. ;)

can I give you some advice?

try to move your wrist less while picking, the picking movement is mostly in the arm, not the wrist, that will get you more accurate and fast...

also it would be better if you played it one octave below, like the original song

Very nice. I live that song. Also try to start it from the 12th fret in the G string, it sounds good!
