  • You're correct, the thermal paste is unnecessary given the material on the Intel stock HSF, but I more wanted to show users how simple it was to apply. But yes, especially if you're HSF has been used before you need to clean it with isopropyl alcohol prior to applying the new paste. Thanks.

  • Do you need to spread the thermal paste on the top of the CPU?

    Should you not clean the bottom of the CPU cooler? It already had some thermal paste on it.
