Dude awesome shot! Last time I was u there I saw the AWSNP go through. It had stopped at Bowman to copy a warrant then pulled. Just got the tail end of the train. But it is a great trestle.

Wow!!!! You have some great eyes... I don't see the diference between a SD70 and a SD90, great catch... Maybe I'm not a great railfan mmmmm

looks like there's a speed restriction over the trestle? i was just up in that area a few days ago poking around for vantage points to photograph trains over this span. there's also a tunnel on the side of the tracks that this train was coming from about a quarter mile down the line.

Amazing video! This bridge is awesome from the Zephyr. I'm beginning to see those 90/43's more and more frequently now.

Nice location, love the throttle up.

The 90/43's are alive and kicking, I see them all the time on the Hinkle OR Eastport ID line, UP upgraded a lot of them to CP standards so they could be used as run through power into Canada.
was the SD90/43MAC running? i though UP had retired them all.

UP bought the SD90/43MAC's before the SD90MAC's were available in hopes of upgrading them later. Due to problems with the SD90MAC's prime movers, the upgrades never happened, and the SD90MAC's were retired, but not the SD90/43MAC's.

Not familiar with the area. Looks like the current trestle was built on top of an older one. Any back-story on this?

The trestle was built in 1912, before I-80, according to some photos I've seen. It looks like some of the supports were removed when I-80 was built, and the cantilver section below was added to support the trestle.
