Ken Hensley destroyed the greatest band on the face of the earth by kicking out David Byron.

Did John Wetton pee himself there? 2:42

To be fair to Wetton, after dealing with Robert Fripp for several years he probably just wanted to have some fun. Too bad that the only other musician on the stage who seems to want to interact with him is Byron; Ken Hensley's expression is just poisonous throughout this, and Mick Box looks like he's trying to remember if he shut off the gas before he left the house.

Wonder how many of the people commenting here were even alive when this performance was recorded. But don't let that stop you from trying to sound like you were there....Anyway, Uriah Heep varied widely in their performances due in large part to David's pre-concert "preparations". This version was horrible and they did much better at other shows from this time. Sped up versions of songs were de rigeur for many bands at this time so its not like this was unique to UH.

I love Heep in all its incarnations, but this is truly awful and it isn't just because of the sound quality. This is a phoned-it-in performance for sure. It is too fast, the keyboards are off, and Byron is obviously toasted. It is no surprise he was canned shortly after this performance. A very sad clip to watch, at least for me.

Man. Oh man. I never knew Geddy Lee and Freddie Mercury were in Uriah Heep................. Just Joking. But come on, Dave is acting a bit strange on this show. I love Heep. So I glad I found this clip.
