You may at some point have the need to do a firmware reset on your Motorola Droid. Maybe you just want to reset your Android to start over from a clean state or maybe you have some other need for a firmware reset. I, as a developer, find it useful to do a factory firmware reset on occasion as part of my app testing. Whatever the reason, here is a quick demonstration of how it is done on the Motorola Droid.

  • can you do this with a droid x?

  • @boogie7209 ...sorry i don't know...all i know for sure is the droid

  • Ah, thanks for clarifying that. Somehow I was thinking there was an option on the Droid's 'Android System Recovery' menu that would clean the sd card, and therefore taking the sd card out would be sort of a step to prevent stupid mistakes. ...but I just had another look and I don't see any such option.

    Thanks for your commenting.
