And did the Go Pro HD live upto your expectations?

I figured, a skydiving helmet costs around $300, a full HD camcorder costs $700, and the proper helmet mounts cost $100-200. That's over $1,000 for camera gear.
My GoPro HD totaled at $299 (tax and shipping were free), and that INCLUDED the helmet mounts! I just attached it to my snowboarding helmet, and voila! I think it's safe to say the GoPro HD has definitely lived up to my expectations, if not MORE :)

@OjarProductions
Yeah I did that quick calculation too. For the size and the price its a very good camera. Good mounts too. I can't wait till I can try it out myself.
What do you use to edit the videos with? And do you export them as mp4? or mpeg2?

@rboeyen
I edit using Sony Vegas 9.0c. I ALWAYS export my movies in mp4 for a couple reasons: 1.) the camera records native in mp4 using the h.264 hi-def codec created by Quicktime, and 2.) mp4 tends to look better and is more universal these days.
However, I export at different bitrates depending on the shooting mode I recorded the footage. For 720p / 60fps, I export at 15mb/sec bitrate, and 960p / 30fps @ 12mb/sec.
I do this because that's the original bitrate the camera records at :)
