Aero-TV Looks Over PCAvionics and 'yourGlassPanel'
Now... This Is A Slick Idea
In the search for the perfect panel, a number of parameters come to mind... but one that doesn't come up as often as it should is multi-function capability... i.e., normally, one display is isolated to a specific function or group of functions... but not so with the latest development from the folks at PCAvionics. With yourGlassPanel, you have more choices than ever before.
This is a multi-function, multi-screen electronic display system that offers electronic representations of a number of gauges... yGP offers a number of screens via each display and the ability to stick with standardized instrument readouts or more up-to-date EFIS presentations. Conventional readouts such as Airspeed, Altimeter, DG, G-Meter, Turn Coordinator, VSI and a standard Artificial Horizon may be displayed at will... while a more exotic EFIS mode of display presents Attitude, Altitude, Airspeed, Heading and the obligatory Slip/Skid indication.
Available in both 3 1/8" or 2 1/4" display formats, the typical yGP can take the place of a normal "six-pack" or more. PCAvionics has configured yGP to interact with sensor packages from a number of vendors (though their own internal sensor package is under development)... yourGlassPanel systems can interface with Dynon D-10, D-10A, D-180 EFIS systems, the Crossbow AHRS sensor,
Grand Rapids AHRS sensors and PC Flight Systems eGyro-XP or eGyro-GC sensors.
Base prices start at $1195 while a system with AHRS and Air Data sensors costs but $2495 (in either size).
