Here's Bob Dylan's classic song which I've covered in my own style.
The Poll I posted on-line received overwhelming support for me to do a rendition of the song, so here it is - It's a little raw but Neil Young said if you feel vibe is there then the small mistake don't matter - ha ha hope you agree.
Recorded on my laptop hence video quality is a low as is the audio which over-rides the in built mic - Yes I'm singing through a PA - but that's being recorded through the mini in-built mic.

  • Great version Tim. Loved the supporting blog post too. You're bang on the money, the music and the performance is what counts to us music lovers, and we love your music. Keep it up.

  • @welshboy69 thanks Mate, I sincerely appreciate your support!

Let's hope someone will figure what I'm doing soon and starting booking me decent gigs and realise there is a market for Civilized Tears - but probably I'll need to start playing a lot more small crappy gigs like I did in UK and just tour and tour until there's an undeniable force of people / fans who will cause a groundswell of support ...

  • hi Brother I am not in jail lol - well not physically at least ha ha ---- thanks for the message -not sure where the other two riders went - pub maybe ?

  • Real nice take on this one !!

  • Hi Tim,

    Great cover!

    Thumbs UP!!!

  • This is amazing Tim. You're a true rock star!

  • Yes a bit raw with the bathroom effect that you get from recording with a laptop.

Having said that, love the vocals and the echo effect. Great that you're doing covers. I find it difficult to take artists serious that don't do covers.

  • p.s. i never got my head aroud the 2 riders. are these the rest of the 4 apocalyptic ones? if so, which and what happened to the other 2 noble chaps?

    p.s. II Neil is right.

  • jeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeez!!!

    extraordinary rendition!!!

coincidence: this was one of the 3 songs we learned when we started our first band in 1978; it stayed with me all those years

this song is the distilled truth of man; 3 chords, misery, a thief, a joker, businessmen, a watchtower but a princess, life, wine and song, too

your version sent shivers down my spine

you are not in jail, are you?

    huggie bear
