Sorry news1st Harold Lipshitz--A.K.A Hal Linden
he has not passed!You might be thinking of Ron Carey who played Carl Levitz on Barney Miller who passed in 2007,James Gregory played Inspector Luger who passed in 2002,or Jack Soo who passed in 1979,but Hal Linden is still alive and well ! Nice tribute though but premature!

"Still" watch this show today, still great, still "was" a great time in the 70's when this came out, there is just NOTHING TODAY, that I can watch that is true comedy like this. (yes he is alive as of this date 7/31/11). but that goes to show how much the internet can be totally wrong. In the 70's when there was no internet, i am sure it would not have happened at all.

@wtw88 Most Aussie gun owners and civil libertarians I've talked loathe the 1996 gun laws. So yes, it is a big deal. It certainly was a big deal for your extremist government. @FaganRoberts Well we have more or less forced disarmament here in Australia, and we don't miss it. We can have hunting rifles and pistols and so on, but not semi-automatics and weapons up in firepower from that. No big deal. And why do you have to go xenophobic/racist/extreme political about it? Lighten up.
