On Monday 12 October 2009, Ian Riley's Black Five No 45407 and NELPG's K1 62005 (currently carrying the number 62034) worked the West Coast Railways empty coaching stock from Fort William to Carnforth.

Having left Fort William just after 8am, they are seen at 10:15am, running approx 5 mins early at Achallader.

Having waited at Bridge of Orchy to pass a Scotrail class 156 unit, they continued their journey south, and are next seen skirting round the foot of Beinn Dorain, then storming along towards Tyndrum.

At Crianlarch the pair took water and awaited a northbound freight (headed by DB 66105 which was running late as it was heavily laden) before they could proceed.

They are finally seen shortly after leaving Crianlarch, at Glen Falloch.

Special thanks go to Graham and Jonny for introducing me to the West Highlands! I'll be back!
