We have had the chickens for a few days now. Most of the time they will be kept in their coop but occasionally we would like to let them out, but we do not want them to fly away. So we got our friend the vet round to clip their wings.

Eating meat is not going to stop...making sure the animal lives a happy healthy humane life before they are humanely killed for food is the only way to go. Ignoring how animals are treated before they are put on our tables is horrible. Back in the day everyone had their own chickens for egg production...now it's against most city laws. Kudos for making an effort to provide for yourselves.

When they crouch down like that is the time to grab them. Approaching with one hand directly down upon them will trigger that reaction.

Well, It's painfully slow at first, but the bit at the end about Hypontizing the chicken was well worth it!

nicely done,im gunna clip the feather ends of my flock, they keep flying over the fence.if u clip the feathers on one wing does the chicken fly in a circle?
