If he had a QB...

Imagine If:
Matt Jones got his life together back then, and still continued to developed like we saw he was on his last year with the Jags. And he was still on the team, and now with a TRUE Quarterback throwing him the ball, Blaine Gabbert.
We would be like the Lions are with Matt Stafford and Calvin Johnson.
because He definately had the potential to be that good.

I wish he still played for us in jacksonville. matt jones, mercedes lewis, mike sim walker, and mike thomas would be unstoppable. plus jones drew in the running game. I'm really mad that matt jones let drugs ruin his career in jacksonville. jaguars cut him right after he got caught with cocaine. That one bad decision he made is the reason why he is a free agent.

@dlw322113220 Not to nitpick, but he got cut after violating his parole, which he did by drinking a beer at a golf game. I think that is ridiculous. Yeah he did coke, and got punished for it.. But to cut him for violating his parole in such a harmless way. I dont get it.

Did the Jaguars actually WIN any of the games shown? It seems they were behind in ALL of them!

@Tomkat53 Maybe youre right, i dont really give a shit though, I only like Matt Jones on the Jags, the rest of the team doesnt interest me. Maybe Jones drew, who is an undersized tank, hes great to watch. Rest of the team sucks dick though.

Apparently he ran a 4.37 40 a few years ago. He may be able to run some go routes on occasion. On the down side, he doesn't seem very quick or exceptionally agile, but the 6'6" frame makes up for that somewhat. He's a big target. Seems to have a decent knack for finding soft spots in coverage and getting open enough to take advantage of his height. Hopefully he comes in motivated. If so, we may have a good number 3 WR. I say the need at WR is still there, and a rookie WR won't cut it.

Im sure youve seen is college highlights, he just plain outruns entire SEC defenses. And does it damn often.
Theres also a lot of plays (not in this video) he made for the Jags over the years where he showed his deep speed.
He could be very useful, but needs to play outside. At 6'6 he cant play slot WR.
