Our Love Story

This is the story of the first and last time they ever fell in love. There are no fairy godmothers, no towers to climb, no evil witch that hinders their love, no running princess past midnight and no kiss that could break a spell but nevertheless, there was magic.

So let's find out the beginning of this enchanting journey that captivated everyone's heart. Well, it all began on a typical school day in college which might sound a bit common but believe me, it's a pretty good start for a love story. Anyways, it could have been by chance, destiny or fate but in reality, it was just because of the alphabet. Since S comes before T in the alphabet, Sy and Tanquis became seatmates in class. You'd think because of that they'd instantly feel a spark but no, there was not even a glint of likeness. In short, they didn't get along that well at first.
But one day, they were put to a test when their teacher reprimanded both of them. This was because Christopher copied from Lizette's assignment but the twist is that he did not know it was her notebook he was copying from since one of their classmates was the one who borrowed it from Lizette in the first place. So, they were basically mad at each other. Lizette was crossed for she was dragged into trouble even if she did her own assignment while Christopher was furious that Lizette accused him even if he was unaware that it was her notebook. Little did we know that beneath this hatred and anger, a new feeling blossomed. It waited for the right time to be awakened and the right time came when both of them finally graduated from Political Science. They started to stay up late at night so that they can chat with each other via mirc. They also exchanged text messages.

Lizette doubted Christopher when he said he'd like to court her but John knew that if he truly loved my sister, perseverance was the key. So, kuya tope courted, persuaded and basically did everything to win ate's heart but little did he know that he already had ate at hello (which means ate already had a crush on kuya tope way back then). And like a tree blooming after a long winter season, kuya tope finally got ate's 'I love you too' after what seemed like a never ending quest to my ate's heart. I could only imagine how happy and in love both of them were. That day was the beginning of something so amazing, so spectacular, so astonishing, something that until this very day, still holds true. Surely, time passed by, days turned to weeks, weeks turned to months, months turned to years, things changed, people changed but their love prevailed and withstood the harsh realities of this world. Joy, sorrow, anger, laughter, and love all made them who they are today: stronger, wiser, better and definitely the most in love they have ever been. And as we are gathered here today, let us be reminded that fairytales do exist and wishes do come true after all. For the newly weds, I wish you a story with a happy ending, and the wisdom to find it. Congratulations!
