I see the reason for all tof the negative comments. I work for a volunteer company and we actually have this system in one of our ambulances. It is better to go through this hassle than to potentially risk injury to crew members. It takes the same time (or less) to set up than to get help for a lift assist from fire personnel, especially if they are on call as well. Take it from someone who has used this many times that this is a great system.

Bariatric Transport Service is a specialty service geared to the inter-facility transfer arena. This is an injury prevention strategy for to protect you. Back injury is the leading cause of disabiity in EMS and this classification of patients pose the greatest risk to caregivers.
Just a thought, before rendering an opinion on an international web site, perhaps you should educate yourself and at least attempt to protray the professional that EMTs want the recognition of being.

by the time you get those ramps out and set up, you could have had the stretcher out and in the hospital by then!! so fucking slow and such a waste of time!!
