So let me get this whole timeline thing straight:

Originally, the events of Shin Megami Tensei I and II were going to happen in the Raidou Kuzunoha world, but he stopped that from happening, thus creating the timeline of the Megami Ibunroku and other Devil Summoner games.

So it's like Legend of Zelda with the two seperate timelines?

And I guess Nocturne takes place in the Shin Megami Tensei timeline in a new world after the end of the world in Shin Megami Tensei I and II.

It's my theory, anyway.

@GRthirty3 Seems like it, Nocturne may be in yet another entirely different timeline, since it and the DDS games indicate a plethora of multiple universes in constant cycles of death and rebirth.

Which is also indicated in the Persona 2s with the two different alternate realities.

And P1 with the entire artificial reality, I guess.

Also, the main character of SMT If.... appears in one of the Personas, not sure which one.

@crossbones116 The original version of persona 1 didn't have voice acting, neither did the japanese version of the psp remake.

@Luisfius The ice queen quest was supposed to be a retelling of If. I thought that was kinda stupid. Now we just need to figure out how Shin megami Tensei NINE is placed in the canon.

In Persona 2 Innocent Sin, you know its her because she makes a comment about her demon companions being nothing against Personas.

@Luisfius So Nocturne and the DDS games are in universes unrelated to the others.

But the Shin Megami Tensei games and Megami Ibunroku games are alternate timelines of the same universe, because of Raidou.
