  • It is people like you who make people change there mind about visiting countries like South Africa. There is crime everywhere don't make it out as if when you go to SA it is highly likely you will be mugged, killed etc it is not like that at all. Stop being a keyboard warrior and let people make up their own minds....clown!

  • ofcourse there is crime everywhere! BUT....in SA it is massive.....it is a proven mathematical and statistical fact that u are HIGHLY likely to become a victim of crime in SA. get real!!

i hope 2 inform as many people as possible about SA.......they need 2understand how the new SA government has minimal interest in protecting its people.

with ur attitude of "everything is ok" nothing will ever change in SA as you give the government no compelling reason to change!!

    who is the clown now?

  • I wen to South Africa in Sept, the country, the people and the place is amazing. Just be careful dont go out alone at night when in the cities and dont cause shit by getting drunk and starting trouble. Be nice to people and they will be nice back. Stay away from places like Hillbrow..you dont need to go there unless you are on drugs or want an aids infected prostitute! I went to a place called Mtuba to and felt more threatened walking arounfd in West London than I did at any time in SA. Enjoy

  • How can you possibly concieve of trying to compare West London with Matuba????

Fact remains that SA is a deadly country which is undeiable in the fact that 51 people are murdered A DAY!!!!!

I LOVE MY COUNTRY BUT I WILL NEVER LIE OR MAKE IT APPEAR ANYTHING MORE OR LESS THAN WHAT IT REALLY IS.

SA NEEDS MASSIVE POLITICAL CHANGE AND DOWN PLAYING THE PREVELANCE OF CRIME IS DETRACTING FROMM THE REAL ISSUE

  • he's just honest, unfortunately it is the truth.

WE can also NOT IGNORE all the murders and rapes of innocent people happening in SA daily, what happened to us, do we still have some pride or will criminals impose their will on us forever?

  • Thanks for an honest pragmatic view of reality in S Africa. Hopefully enough S africans will come forward and some day make a difference. I'd probably be safer in Haiti of Bagdad

  • crime is not to the extent that it will definitely happen to you. just be smart dont fall for things dont go out late at night you'll be fine i stayed a week at joburg and spoke to some locals. they said it was safe, crime wasn't a problem.

  • IT'S FUNNY, YOU ANCESTORS PREACHED THE SAME SERMON FOR 300yrs, WHILE EXTERMINATING THE NATIVES ALL OVER THE WORLD WHO GREETED THEM WITH HUMBLE HUMILITY.

Too bad you had NO idea,,, but LIFE is NOT about HATE.

Life is about FACING BITTER TRUTH.

I understand, it does NOT apply to you.

    GOOD LUCK FACING REALITY.

  • You should know of course that your luggage will be gone through thoroughly by baggage handling staff at JHB International, if it's locked you can be sure the locks will be broken and your luggage ruined. It is a common complaint.

Don't lock your luggage and don't carry valuables in hold luggage, for that matter don't carry valuables anywhere! Just saying.

  • @Superbad1980

    I agree totallly with you

  • What a fearmonger!

  • sorry, WITCH doctors. Anyway, the list of places. Augrabies falls in January. Kruger Park. Umfolozi/Hlulhluwe, Giant's castle and Royal Natal National parks,

.....basically, Kalahari Desert, northern Drakensberg, Eastern Transvaal, Northern coastal Kwazulu Natal. Cape Town for Night life if you must. You'll have amazing experiences in the most well preserved nature in Africa, and no crime whatever in those places.

  • In Durban, go to Durban North and Umhlanga.

South Africa is not a sex hub of any kind. No place for sex tourists. if you are a lover of the chocolate sisters, be prepared for a cultural shock and witch doctors.

If you like nature then stay out of the cities all together and NOW you are in for some paradise. I've been everywhere in the country and had a privileged upbringing. Places to go... Northern Drakensberg. Cape Town and Norhtern Durban beaches. Cape Point. Kalahari Gemsbok National Park
