I co-produced this spot with the client.
I imported the many tapes of footage, edited the footage based on directions by the client, sent 3 previews over the course of about 2 days, making changes as suggested by the client.
I then suggested several music tracks to the client and sent previews via yousendit.com. We then decided on the music track.
The script was written by the client and sent to a voice-over artist to record at their studio. This was then sent to me via email.
I added the ending tag and graphics (date, contact info, etc), video effects (vignettes, blurs, etc) and color corrections.
I then exported the audio as an .OMF file (along with a low-res Quicktime file of the spot) and sent it to an audio post-production company. They added sound effects (the crowd cheers, title swooshes, etc), mixed the tracks and exported for TV broadcast quality.
I then imported the mixed audio back into my project, made minor final color corrections, reviewed the spot and sent to the client for a final preview.
Once approved the spot was then sent to the TV station via satellite.
This entire project was a rush job so it took about 3 days total. Usually, there would have been a pre-production meeting, and a week or two of emails, phone calls, a follow-up meeting (if needed) to ensure the spot was completed with total satisfaction by the client and as little stress as possible.
